Purpose of Job

HLI is seeking an inspired, intellectually curious, and mission driven CT Technologist to be an integral part of the Longevity Care Team.  This individual will provide domain expertise in magnetic resonance imaging – using existing and novel technologies. As part of the multidisciplinary team, this individual will also provide empathic, personalized care to Clients throughout their experience – including a warm welcome, supportive clinical care for the duration of the evaluation, and ensure an unparalleled care experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assures that services are provided to clients and customers within professional standards. 
  • Maintains positive work relationships with other technologists, practitioners, physicians, and staff.
  • Prepares client for CT procedure and perform diagnostic testing by taking images of patients' bodies using computerized GE or Siemens scanners.
  • Explain CT procedures to clients, select software options and imaging parameters when adjusting an MRI scanner, view images from an imaging session and keep records of the results. 
  • Perform high quality CT exams on incoming clients; may occasionally help cover in other modalities if certified/licensed to perform radiologic exams. 
  • Monitor client’s well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action. 
  • Guide clients through this somewhat difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and processes.
  • Administer, document, and maintain required MRI documentation.
  • Maintains client confidentiality and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential and following HIPAA practices.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required by the clinic.

Minimum Qualifications (Must have)

  • Graduate of an accredited program by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Holds current CT certification with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current CPR or BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by start date.
  • Current California CRT
  • Two (2) years of work experience as an CT Technologist.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Proficient with Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service oriented.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assist clients in their care and testing.
  • Identifies service requirements by establishing personal rapport with each client.
  • Ability to work well with teams in an open environment.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment to effectively solve problems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology, CT or equivalent.
  • Experience with Siemens CT scanner.
  • Willing to cross train into MRI.
  • Customer focused to insure a high level of care and a positive experience.
  • Dynamic individual with the ability to communicate and engage others.
  • Open to learning new things and taking on new challenges.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

  • Open clinical environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending and kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift and transport at least 25 pounds.
